School starts Monday, August 29. Please remember to watch out for the kids walking to and from school. Also, please be mindful of the buses as they make frequent stops to pick up and drop off the kids. Fall sports is in full swing, look for schedules around town or on the websites and Facebook pages.
The Glendale Community Library wrapped up our Summer Reading Program with 284 hours of reading from our children’s program and 13 total books read in our teen program. Thanks to Morningstar Coffeehouse and Nanos for donating a few of the teen prizes! Our community now has a Little Free Library, located on 3rd street in front of the library, you can take a book or leave a book any time! Please help us maintain it by not overstocking and by removing any trash or inappropriate material. Our Library of Things is now available to check out, we have a sewing machine, cake decorating kit, disc golf set, picnic basket, food dehydrator and binoculars! We are seeking donations of musical instruments, educational tools, and adventure gear (ukulele, microscope, telescope etc.) Follow us on Facebook for event updates
Join us for STORYTIME every Wednesday at 11:30am, once a month Teen Takeover events, Fun Friday events every week at 1pm and BOOK CLUB meets the first Saturday of each month at 11am.
The CCVCA City Wide Yard Sale was on Saturday August 13th. Thank you to all that participated. It was a great turn out!
You may have seen all the Fir Point kids around town last month. There were approximately 100 kids that went around town picking up garbage. They come every year to do some community service. We appreciate them very much and it is always fun to have all the kids here. Thank You Fir Point and Kids.
